More from Mirko –
competence in situ
Some colleagues find that all he actually only need in
the office is a roll container, a telephone and an internet
connection. After all, being competent advisor he is on
the way to clients and potential customers all over the
country most of the time. So it’s no wonder that he
is only within reach of his office regularly on Mondays
and Fridays. “Of course on the other days I’m
in the office in between too but it’s good that my
colleagues are able to represent me without problem in the
meantime.” says the engineer and adds ”As we
are equipped with the latest modern communication technology,
I’ve got direct access to information at any time
in any place”. However he’s of course happy
about the new building extensions at EPS – as well
as the rest of the team.
Due to EPS’ unbelievable success, the employees had
to work very close together in a spatial sense as well.
“That’s why we have now created more space provisionally,
to mitigate the acute lack of room.” the manager Hans-Jörg
Rudolph says, “After all; our employees must have
enough space to be able to keep developing creative and
competent solutions for our clients.” “That’s
what the clients really appreciate” Nadia Baron knows
from her frequent talks with clients in the office. ”We
not only sell good products but we also know what’s
good for whom and how it’s going to work. Some clients
seem to have had quite different experiences elsewhere”.
Her colleague Mirko Sievers could also make some additional
remarks to this point but then the telephone is ringing
again and the next meeting is waiting for him with another
extraordinary request: “Would it be possible to encase
a church steeple with tensioned fabric?” “Of
course it would!” replies Mirko Sievers while taking
his briefcase, “but should you really?” On the
other hand, who was it that was doing work on steeples during
his architecture studies? One could make some inquiries….
