Little
Mainhattan – Advertising pylons at Messe Frankfurt
Frankfurt is much more than just “Äppelwoi” and green sauce:
The Main-Metropolis appears to be a real megacity between the western highway junction and the city centre. Futuristic high-tech-buildings with reflecting glass facades line the wide main road and the over 250 metres tall Frankfurt landmark tower arises visibly from far away in a very typical Manhattan-manner. On the left side of the highly frequented avenue you can see numerous hotels, banks and assurances alternating, while on the right side the copious fairground with his architectural variform halls spreads out.
Here the “little brothers” of the Frankfurt landmark tower come into the focus of passing visitors: three-sided pylons, approx. 18 metres high which inform about current exhibition events. On the top of each side the coloured logo and the company brand of the Messe Frankfurt are displayed permanently – even illuminated at night. The advertising pylons are arranged near the fairground – for example at the Theodor-Heuss-Alley and at the parking garage Rebstock.
On behalf of the Messe Frankfurt, Edel Messereklame und Digitaldruck has endued these advertising pylons with new displays by using the tensioning profile systems from EPS Profiled Solutions. Adequate to the existing substructure, a one-piece advertising space without material joints with small construction depth had to be found. Furthermore the height of the advertising spaces was not to be restricted by any angle profiles at the edges.
Edel Messereklame und Digitaldruck draws back to a great wealth of experience in the signage of major events as the look back to a long and successful company history starting in 1964. The creative technicians supply over 50 events each year with eye-catching displays, including the IAA, ACHEMA, musikmesse, ambiente and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Besides the extensive textile facade- and exhibition stand-advertising as well as the design of guide- and orientation systems belong to the everyday-business.
„In search of tensioning technology you get a manifold offer today, but we were really convinced by the construction of the EPS.LUMI. The straight, clean profiles with the all-around tensed fabric met our requirements perfectly. As another advantage, the area of 500x210 cm can be illuminated uniform to the edges,” comments Herbert Ramolla, production and project manager of Edel Messereklame und Digitaldruck about the choice of the display techniques.
Hence the optimally appointed mini-towers keep watch at the fairground day and night and lead interested visitors always to the right events...
