Sustainable use - The "Exhibition Walls"
of Allianz Global Investors

Long-term vision and optimal flexibility form the business foundation of Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI). This is also evident in the exciting new design of their Munich head office.
For centuries banks and insurance companies have known about the advertising effect of their buildings in creating the perfect "first impression". Long before the term "Corporate Architecture" had been coined, financial institutions had used the opportunity to create sustainable added value by linking form and function in an optimum way. The systematic continuation of this tradition also manifests itself at "Allianz Global Investors". The globally operating company, with managed assets of € 1.5 billion, is one of the most important addresses for private and institutional investors. The financial experts also set the standard regarding the new design of the Munich head office, by involving the renowned Corporate–Branding-Agency Wolff Olins of London. The CI-professionals, who among others, are responsible for the public appearance of the next Olympic Games, presented a consistent combination of flexible functionality and clear communication.

Thus, the illuminated areas in the foyer don't only convincingly present the location, but also show, as required, the areas where AllianzGI is active. The five "Exhibition Walls" supplied by Reger of Munich perform many functions. Depending on their covering, they can provide a suitable background to an appropriate reception with a pleasant advertising effect, a guiding directive or temporarily come to the fore with important additional information for events. "We were persuaded by the quick and easy ability to change without necessarily compromising the quality", explains Carola Wagner, Authorised Allianz Representative and Facility Manager, regarding the decision toward the special illuminated boxes made of EPS.LUMI profiles. "This way we are able to act simultaneously efficient, sustainable and flexible according to our requirements". Despite a minimal depth of just 115 mm, the employment of a total of 45,000 LEDs achieves a perfect, full-surface illumination of the up to nine-meter-long "Exhibition Walls" with an extremely low energy consumption.
"As always, thanks to EPS.LUMI everything could be smoothly stretched and the huge blue area also glows in the exact Allianz-colours using the LED technology made by Rudolph Siegen", communicates a satisfied Wolfgang Einsiedl, Project Manager of ICS Vertical, after the successful installation. The practitioner is convinced that the tensioning technology will be increasingly employed infuture projects, for the desired alternating advertising effect: "No other process allows for such an efficient and sustainable effect".
